Rick Davis Cowboy Trading Rodeo, Western & Portrait Photography Photojournalist & Columnist Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Licensed Photographer
A fifth generation Colorado native born in Durango, Colorado, Rick grew up with a passion for the western lifestyle. In High School Rick developed an interest in photography. Inspired by rodeo photographers of the past such as Doubleday, Rick focused on capturing the western lifestyle unique to Colorado. Today Rick is a photographer for the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association, Colorado Pro Rodeo Association and Wyoming Rodeo Association. Rick's award winning images are routinely found in fine magazines.
Despite his deep seeded love of the western lifestyle, Rick can often be found shooting portraits and stock images in LoDo, the redeveloped lower downtown area of Denver, Colorado which is home to Coors Field, The Pepsi Center, and Confluence Park. "The characteristics of the area lends itself well to creative portrait opportunities that my clients have come to expect. " At the conclusion of each session Rick enjoys a cup of coffee with each client at the nearby coffee shop so he can solicit input on how the session progressed. "I love creating vibrant imagery for a memorable portrait. I really have no preference on the type of shoots. Every shoot is a new challenge, with unique possibilities."
